API 682 - Plan 52 Buffer Fluid Seal Pot solution

Our seal pot solution is simple, efficient and significantly reduces safety issues and operating costs. So stop risking the safety of your team.

By installing this assembly on each seal pot with a check valve on top, the pump can remain online during the refill—no need to shut down the pump and let it cool down. We arrange block valves at ground level, eliminating the need for the operator to climb up to the top of the seal pot and expose themselves to hazardous media.

If you are experiencing galling issues, our flange adapters make it so you don’t have to screw male connectors into your pot. This avoids galling and allowing for better system flow and fewer leak points.

Here’s how it works

The operator walks up to the block valves and opens the top valve and the side valve to the gauge.  If they see no pressure at the gauge, they know that the check valve is working properly and the line is not pressurized. Then the operator hooks up the hose from the pump cart to the bottom valve, pumps the seal fluid up the fill tube into the seal pot until he reaches the appropriate level per the sight gauge.  When finished, the operator closes each valve, removes the hose and moves onto his next pot. Easy, right?

So don’t settled for downtime or safety issues associated with your current setup. The transition is simple, and we can help customize.
